Redken's All Soft Argan-6.
1 luxurious oil.
6 amazing uses.
On wet hair:
1. Protect: Pre-Blow-Dry Shield
Before blow drying, work a small amount of Argan-6 Oil through damp hair, then use a wide-tooth comb to gently work out tangles. Apply more Argan-6 Oil if needed.
2. Illuminate: Styling Shine Booster
For the ultimate high-shine blow-out, blend 2 drops of Argan-6 Oil with a small amount of satinwear 02 ultimate blow-dry lotion, apply to damp hair and style as usual.
3. Soften: Treatment Booster
After shampooing, add 3 drops of Argan-6 Oil to All Soft Heavy Cream softening rinse-out mask and apply to towel-dried hair. Leave on 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

On dry hair:
4. Moisturize: Pre-Shampoo Treatment
Divide hair into equal sections and apply 2-3 drops of Argan-6 Oil to hair and scalp. Massage and leave in for 5-10 minutes. Comb through. Follow with All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner.
5. Smooth: Post Blow-Dry Perfector
To control dry, frizzy hair apply a few drops of Argan-6 Oil after blow-drying. Reapply as needed.
6. Recondition: Overnight Treatment
Apply Argan-6 Oil evenly through hair before going to bed. The formula acts overnight and won't transfer to your pillow. In the morning leave in or rinse out.

2011-19-09 - Check out Butter London's hot new nail trend on the runway... Finger Bands! Love this! Just use any Butter London polish and paint a small line around your fingers. Sooo cute! Mix and match colors, do multiple fingers, and possibilities are endless!!! Since Butter's "three free" formula is blended sans formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP (phthalates), the polish is able to harmlessly remain on your skin. We wouldn't recommend using any other polish. peeling off shortening the longevity of your tan)
5. Heavily moisturize and keep your skin moist after your first shower. The less dry your
skin is the longer your tan will last.
6. Do not be alarmed if when you see some of the solution come off during your first shower:
This is normal. It takes the solution 6-8 hours to mix with the proteins and amino acids in
your skin. By the time you shower your real tan will be ready to shine through even
though you lose some of the cosmetic layer.
7. If you moisturize heavily after your tan and do not scrub your skin too hard in the shower
and use a liquid gel rather than bar soap your tan should last 7-10 days. It will fade
gradually just like a normal tan.

YOUR TAN WILL NOT PROTECT YOU FROM THE SUN. YOU WILL NEED TO WEAR SUN SCREEN TO AVOID BEING BURNED BY THE SUN!!!

Erika Kate Foundation

2011-06-06 - Please join us this month in our effort to raise money for the Erika Kate Foundation.
I'm sure some of you have heard Erika's story, maybe even know the family. Erika was a sweet, sweet girl who use to get her hair cut here often. We are honored to have been asked to help.
Traci and Rich Maynard founded the Erika Kate Foundation (EKF) in late 2006, months after they lost their 4-year-old daughter to complications from a heart transplant. Throughout their daughter’s journey, they experienced the unique challenges brought by a child with severe heart disease. They discovered a significant lack of resources available to help families in the midst of a cardiac crisis. EKF became their grassroots effort to create a sustainable national assistance program for cardiac families. More than 100 families provided the seed money for the nonprofit foundation, raising more than $150,000 in the first year alone. The foundation helped 10 families in 2007, 12 in 2008, 50 in 2009 and more than 80 in 2010. Since its inception, EKF has raised more than $300,000 and helped families at 24 different pediatric heart centers around the country.
We will be excepting donations all month long for EKF. For every donation you make you will be entered in a drawing to win a pediure basket, with purple flip flops of course:) Erika's shoe of choice!

Locks of Love

2011-03-05 - We are so excited for this month's special!!! You've all heard of Locks of Love right? Well during the month of May if you donate your hair you will receive a FREE cut/style!! Yep, that's right FREE!!
For those of you who don't know a lot about them... Locks of Love is a not-for-profit organization that provides the hightest quality hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged children with medical hair loss. Most recipients have lost their hair due to an auto-immune condition known as alopecia areata, which has no known cause or cure. Others have suffered severe burns, radiation treatment, or any number of dermatological conditions resulting in long term or permanent hair loss.
The custom-made, vacuum-fitted hairpieces don't require tape or glue. Instead, they fit like a suction cup, displacing air underneath to create a vacuum seal. Approximately 150,000 hairs are injected by hand into the silicone base, all of them from donated ponytails (about six to ten). Each hairpiece takes four months to complete and is designed for those with a complete loss of scalp hair.
Locks of Love meets a unique need that goes beyond superficial beauty. The children wearing these hairpieces have lost more than their hair; they suffer from a loss of self. Let's help them rebulid their self-esteem, and regain a normalcy in their everyday lives that the rest of us take for granted.

Donation guidlines:

Hair that is colored or permed is acceptable.

Hair cut years ago is usable if it has been stored in a ponytail or braid.

Layered hair is acceptable if the longest layer is 10 inches, and may be divided into multiple ponytails.

Curly hair may be pulled straight to measure the minimum 10 inches.

10 inches measured tip to tip is the minimum length needed for a hairpiece.

Hair that has been bleached (usually this refers to highlighted hair) is not usable. If unsure, ask your stylist. We are not able to accept bleached hair due to a chemical reaction that occurs during the manufacturing process.

Hair that is swept off of the floor is not usable because it has not been cut while bundled in a ponytail or braid.

Hair that is shaved off and not in a ponytail or braid is not usable. You may divide your hair into multiple ponytails, and cut each one off before continuing to shave.

We cannot accept dreadlocks, wigs, falls, hair extensions or synthetic hair. Our manufacturer is not able to use them in our children’s hairpieces.
